PROGRAMME - RHODES
3 SEP - 20:55 Greeted at Rhodes airport with transport to
accommodation in Pefkos.
4 SEP - 10.00 start Day in Pefkos, with afternoon painting class at
the Flyer taverna. Welcome dinner at Kyma
restaurant in the evening (included).
5 SEP - 10:00 start Excursion to Seven Springs for lunch, with painting and walking options.
6 SEP - 10:00 start A trip to Lindos old town for lunch, painting, shopping and sightseeing. Greek dancing and food in the evening (included).
7 SEP - 10:00 start A day of painting in the ramshackle old village of Lachania with lunch at a local taverna.
8 SEP Free Day!
9 SEP - 12:30 start Lunch and painting at the beautiful beach of Tsampika, then up to Tsampika monastery to sketch the view. Late afternoon leave for the small harbour of Haraki for a drink and then dinner.
10 SEP - 10:00 start An excursion to sketch at Ancient Kamiros, followed by lunch and a visit to some intriguing derelict buildings.
11 SEP - 10:00 start A day out in Rhodes old town with free time to explore and shop in the afternoon.
Possibility of an icon painting workshop (to
be confirmed)
12 SEP - 8.00 start An early start to take a boat to the charming quiet island of Chalki with plenty of opportunities for painting and lunch.
13 SEP - 10.00 start A trip to the pretty small harbour of Kolimbia for painting and lunch.
14 SEP A free day before departure for the airport at 19:30.
This is the planned programme, but it could be subject to change at the last minute, depending on the circumstances. We will have our own transport so we can come and go at our leisure. Most of the painting locationns are set by tavernas, which are very accommodating, allowing us to use their chairs and tables for hours. In return we usually have lunch there at a mutually covenient time.
